In the spring of 2007, Dan Cenidoza, a certified kettlebell instructor, started teaching a few friends kettlebells in the park. The group grew and Dan eventually opened Baltimore’s first (and only) kettlebell gym. The name has changed and the people vary, but what remains the same is that the kettlebell is still the single most effective tool to build muscle and burn fat. Our group consists of men and women of all ages and backgrounds. At anytime you could have grandmothers working alongside martial artists. Some had experience with weight training, some had never lifted a weight a day in their life, and nearly all had never used kettlebells before. We welcome rank beginners as well as the advanced. The “club” is more of a community; it’s a supportive environment with camaraderie in our common goal of becoming better versions of ourselves.

About Dan Cenidoza
I am a student and practitioner of strength. I am passionate about training and I will train anyone who has a desire to improve. I work with kids, senior citizens and formerly worked with the Baltimore Ravens. At any given time I am teaching people at the highschool, college, professional and geriatric level. Some people need basic exercise and some people need advanced techniques. I can help them do what they need to in order to achieve the results they want. I help people lose weight or gain it, build muscle or lose fat, improve their health or sports performance. There is an exercise prescription for every goal and every individual.
Sometimes its not an exercise people need but the motivation to do it. This is the vast majority of the population. I speak to various groups, churches, schools and companies on the importance of strength and physical activity. As a strongman, I perform feats of strength to inspire people to action and motivate them to exercise. The ones that do will have profound results. Training is the stuff that changes lives and there is nothing more satisfying to me than when someone tells me that I inspired them to positive change.
My professional credentials include a degree from Towson University in exercise science and several training certifications (CSCS, RKC, AKC & SFG). My performance history includes a first place finish in the Maryland’s Strongest Man competition, 6-time national qualifier and whatever feats of strength I’m currently training for. My personal highlights include being a husband to a loving wife and father to 5 healthy children – they are what I am most proud of and the reason I do what I do.
